Convert LSA 2 seater to 4 seater? Possible?

Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to convert a 2 seater LSA eg Jabiru or Sling
to carry 2 adults and 2 children under 3yrs (aprox 30kgs for both ) .
Both adults together weigh 130kgs and 2 kids 30kgs = total 160kgs.

I am thinking of mounting 2 kids seats at the back.

Is this possible?
Can it be done then have the plane reclassified or a new weight & balance test done?

Desperate to find out

Thanks

LSA rules state max seats = 2, so in short no.

Like Jaco said, from a licensing point. In short NO. From a certification point, I would say good luck with CAA. It will be cheaper to do your PPL and buy a 4 seat than to try and modify the plane.

Both of these makes have 4-seater models that are flown on a PPL
