miss fire 618 rotax

Peter Harare - have a 618 rotax on my airotrike – its miss firing – have changed the plugs / plug caps / clean fuel. Mag check shows a 200 drop on one and 600 on the other. Could it b the electrical boxes CDI’s @ US$800 to get 2 new 2 Zim from Commet I think I should b real sure I have tried everything, any other suggestions plse

Hello Pete
Have a look at your Dampening box. Try revese the wiring on this, if you are still getting spark to the plugs this needs to be replaced, this indicates there is a blown diode within the dampening box. This could well be the source of your misfire, check this out first before purchasing the CDI's. Hope this helps.
