Airodynamiks
Hi all.I had a very nice 3.5hour trip on Saturday, and this is where i noticed only after i had to take my back rest of how much drag there is on your body.I was playing by sitting in the normal upright position, and then lying with my back on the back seat with my helmet on the passengers back rest the diff between the 2 positions had +-5to 10 mph diff in speed.I am now thinking of fitting a fairing but what would the weight do to the speed.

Re: Airodynamiks
Nou waarheen toe is meneer dan nou so haastig? Gaan sit in die hoek tot die geit bedaar het!! Or lean back, smile, relax and enjoy sitting there and watching the world move by!!

Make no mistake Boatch,
Open trike flying gives a 6-pack work-out like few people would believe.
Jou maag spiere werk meer as wat jy dink ! It's just that you do not realize it untill the next day.
A fairing will only rob you from a good work-out.
Keep it real !!

Re: Airodynamiks
I have also noticed a big speed difference between the relaxed and upright position. I often sit upright as its easier to survey the lesser earthbound mortals from that position.
I was wondering how much was due too my body being full on into the slipstream and how much was the change in attitude of the thrust line and trike. Because if you lean forward the trike pitches down in relation to the wing and horizon.
