I need to replace my aeries motor.

What is better:
1) The trike is in excellent condition, 1993 model. Is it worth it to buy a new 582 motor for her that cost about R60 000-00 complete.

2) Just by a cheap second hand 503 motor in good condition and sell her.

I can rather bite the bullet and loose some money because of over capitelizing but still fly her with a new 582.

My problem is, at this moment making a loan of about R160 000-00 to buy a new trike with a 582 is to costly.

Will it be stupid to put a new motor on an old plane??

I would go new 582 rather than new trike, especially as you know the past history....

I seem to remember that Aviation Engines had some sort of trade-in program last year. Perhaps they have some...

582 short block about R23,000 on trade in, assuming you have 582 onboard to trade in. You reuse your old carbs, exhasut ... etc

Best option me thinks..
