Please can someone clarify the following for me

While sitting at my in-laws place listening on my handheld I was a little confused :? They stay close to the Rooiwal Power station which is in the FAD127 (Pretoria GF) I had my radio on “scanning mode” on VFR and GF (ALL) and there were allot of different planes and helicopters flying close to Rooiwal broadcasting on both frequencies. All of them were either leaving Wonderboom or flying to Wonderboom. There were also some broadcasting on VFR doing simulated engine outs at Freeway but Freeway is in the GF ????

As far as I understand that when entering the GF you broadcast on 124.400 even if you are below 1500ft AGL

Rooiwal being on the boundary between 2 airspaces will always be "dead man's corridor" I had a look at the the aeronautical map and it seems that the Freeway runway, which is next to the N1, is actually just outside the FAR127 between the two pretoria GF's, this will make it 124.8 ?
