Oil change

I had to drain the bottle that feeds the valve behind the carb on my 582 and after filling it i had to top it up 5 times. I left it for five hours and then topped it up again and went for a short flight. After returning to the hanger took of the cowl and it was empty,so how mutch oil does this oil can use.
