VXA Radio antenna adaptor

The VXA series of radios has a SMA female socket, we supply a SMA male to BNC female adaptor and when coupled to a angle BNC seems to give no problems. When attached to a straight BNC male plug it causes excessive leverage and may cause the radio chassis to crack. We have seen 1 radio only as yet but to prevent damage we have come up with a fix. This is a angled plug and a extension cable. They are a SMA angle male and a BNC straight female about 200mm long.

We can supply or get a radio antenna specialist to make up. This is a preventative measure to save costs later.

Thanks Paul

Thanks Chaps, Just costed it with labour and as a service we can do for R100,00 ex factory. Speed services are about R59,00 at the moment. I think this sorts out any possible problems. As I advised I have only seen 1 in many hundreds out there. We are making a batch at present. The good thing is that is really the only fault that we can find with the VXA220.

Cheers Paul
