AERIAL LOST!! ??

Postby HENNING JOHAN » Sat Jan 16, 2010 5:10 pm

This morning I lost the aerial wire. We did a power off stall and after the stall saw that my aerial wire is on my lap. Just before the stall we(me and instructor) made a radio call but it broke up.I ask Porra to give me the radios atenna that was in the panierbag. We return to the circus airfield and refitted the wire. (^^) After refitting and refuel we did circuits and the radio was fine.I supose the grap screw come loss. For safety can i glue the wire so it doesn't come off again?FLY SAFE!!FLYBOY OBD (!!)

Of course you can glue it in. Just make sure that all connections are sound and are making good contact because you never gonna get it out again vhpy

HI Johan

Take some pratley steel and put the wire in then put just a smear on the grub screw that you have turned out completely, you turn it back in and make sure all is corrrect in place cos it will not come loose again. ## ##
I did that and well even after i hit the deck the aerial was still in place

If you need to take it out you just heat up the whole unit and it will eventually brake free.

Just a suggestion. Worth a try.
