Have seen tubing very similar to trike profile tubes being used. Maybe the trike manufacturers can help ?

Contact Hunter Douglas. They are in Randburg. They specialise in sun control systems and they have an aerofoil product in various sizes made out of aluminium. In cross section it looks very much like a wing. Possibly one could obtain a length and modify and fit yourself. This is of course if there is no standard product available for trikes.

What aircraft? We use fibreglass that we stick with epoxy over the round tube. Works great. A bit of work but great results and very light. Be carefully to just replace liftstruts with a different type, you might need to send an application for modification with supporting data to CAA.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I can make the fairings myself out of aluminium sheet but it a big job, especially trying to bend the front end into a nice round shape, hence my quest to fit something over the existing struts. KFA its a 701, i like your fiberglass option, hmmmm could you make them for me or who in JHB could do this?

The manufacturors of the Challenger microlight sell a nice light plastic extrusion. Nice.
