Hi All.
Swannie, I have downloaded all the spec sheets and on face value I cant see why the AX-7 wont do the job. All we need to see now is how the additive packs compare. Will have to make a plan to grab a sample from you, will give you a call during the week.

Cheers

Hi Darren,

Have you tested the AX7 yet and what did you find?

I have some VSX and Activo that you can test, can we maybe make a plan?

Cheers and Thanks

Hi Jaco

As yet I havent tested the AX-7 but will try and make a plan to get a hold of sum in the next week or so. I have tested the VSX and the New ELF Eco, at this stage my prference would be to stay with the VSX if you can find it. I will give you a call today and we can definitley make a plan to catch up, I would be really keen to see how the Activo stacks up in comparison to the others.

Cheers

With you on that.

For some reason the Rotax boytjies are not keen on Castrol. Would be interesting to know why. I've been running my bikes on Actevo for litterally 100 000's of km's of hard riding, without any issues. In fact I swear that the gearboxes are more smooth with Actevo.....and the most important thing, the price is right. vhpy

Hi All

Please find attached document with the test results from the oils I have recently tested. Two of the oils (VSX and Elf) are Rotax approved, the third (Castrol Actevo) is not. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer what I can.

Cheers
Darren

So their you have it, Shell VSX first and Castrol Actevo second. I will be using Actevo from now on seeing as the viscosity is better at 100 C than what elf is.

Thanks for the tests Darren!

Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 is the oil recommended by Rotax for the 914 & 912.
