Alternative Engines for Trike?

The problem is the numbers at this stage I have spent more money then what I can ever get back out of a project like this. I find you have to do at least 50 pieces if you cast and you must do at least 10 parts if you machine them. The last batch of drive adapters that I made cost me R800 a piece that is an outlay of R8000 and then it must be right and maybe you find out you must change it. The average homebuilder does not have a big budget and saves where he can, and I do not blame him. My last gearbox that I put on my trike when I had the problem in the Kaokoland trip only had 20 hrs on it it was brand new but the plate broke due to fatigue I have discussed this with the German manufacturer. I do not know his final decision but I have asked all the engines where I am involved to stop flying till this drive has been replaced. The life of the gearbox has not been trouble free. The engines so far have been faultless as well as the EboXi engine management systems. I'm awaiting the outcome of my ATF after that I will report on everything on the Safari site. I promised to report everything , be it good or bad. At this stage I also do not want to spend all my retirement money I just want to have fun CAA does not make it easy.
