Hi Bennie, just flew the latest helmet from air magic, this was amazing with a bib to prevent air from the underneath. He has now fitted some fancy imported dual mic system which cuts external noise to zero. It is quite eerie to fly as the cups are strapped over the ears. The guys a bit of a fanatic but his product is very good. I am very happy with the air magic system...Hes quite an emotional character though !!! Very happy.

Anyone using the "air Magic' intercom system from Durban?
Had a very positive response from my inquiry.
Lighter helmets, visor can't flap open in flight, has 'bib' reducing noise and that's without noise reduction filtering.
Pity, can't or reluctant to modify Buzzcom system.
Price certainly enticing.

My previous plane was a Skyfox with a 503 mounted about 18 inches above my head. What a racket!!
I used a full face helmet and built the earphones and mike in to it. Noise cancelling mike setup is reasonably easy to do and it cut out almost all the noise. Also had a bib fitted to reduce the wind noise.
The earphones (or headset) part was a bit tricky though. I shaped some dense type foam and fitted the earphones into the recesses that was created in the foam. Fitted the whole lot into the helmet and my ears were nicely fitted into the foam recesses. Just like having a headset on :D
Wasn't a wireless setup though. I had the cable coming out of the helmet and it had to be plugged into the intercom. Worked just fine for me :D
