In this discussion the main focus has been on the way that frost or ice affects the lift of the wing, due either to increased drag or deformation of the aerofoil. But surely the greater danger is that trike wings work because they are flexible, and ice can affect that flexibility. If the billow on one wing is diferent from the other, the lift will be assymetric and the trike uncontrollable. If the stiffened frozen skin of a wing does not allow the roach effect, then the trike will not turn or respond to control inputs. Surely this is more of a danger?
