Mag Drop

Postby vernon11 » Wed Dec 17, 2008 8:25 pm

I know this thread has been on before, but i cannot find it.
The drop on Bernards 912 ul / 95hp is generaly =- 150 rpm. lately, it has been as much as 600 rpm. A while later it is back to 150. It is fine for a while then suddenly its = - 600 again. The sound when both mags on is great. There just does not seem to be a problem. I have been told that dirt in a carb can also cause this problem.
Please help out here guys.
Vernon.

The guy that bought my Cheetah had the same problem on the 912.Apparently it was a loose wire/bad connection at the connectors coming out of the engine into the 2 igniter modules.
