Any feedback on EasyCockpit and Easy Plan software.

Realy a fan of it, easy to use(windows based in planing) and in the cockpit also.
jcvb's point is strong, updates are about once a month, and are free for download for one year, thereafter the renewal for the next year costs about R300-400. On some Garmins you might pay that for one update, which is usual much later that EP.
And finally there are plenty of fields in the data base, and not only registered fields, as in the common aviation GPS.
And off course, you can do serious vally flying with vertical navigation, as Demon mentioned
