Transponder installation

Postby kobusf » Thu Sep 11, 2008 9:31 pm

I just bought a used transponder - KT76A. The seller did not include cables. Apparently this comes with the encoder.

Is this a standard cable? Will it be included with the encoder? I didn't even know I had to buy a seperate encoder.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Encoder only if you want Mode C.

I have 1 installed in Cubby and can take some pics (will only be next week though). Most come with a tray and a pin connection. Google KT76A and I am sure you will get info... Be careful of the avionics shops. It a small K@K job so usually costs the earth.....
