Oil Leak - 582

Postby cobra » Tue Apr 10, 2007 7:19 pm

582 has an engine oil leak where the gearbox mounts to the crankcase. During flight it seems to be alright as no oil is visible on the prop after flight. On shutdown a couple of minutes later there one drop visible. Once cleaned there is no further leak until after the next flight.

Is this a matter of concern :?: until the engine is opened for a major service and the crankshaft ceil is replaced :?:

Thanks Demon, same feedback I got from some of the AP's at Microland - just needed the some re-assurance

For Bennie's sake, I would also like to change my vote on your new poll for the 'k#k praat" topic to YES
