Servicing wing in Gauteng

Postby Tower » Tue Feb 27, 2007 9:01 pm

I have an aquilla II wing and would like to have it serviced, stretched and speeded up.

Anyone up here capable or is it down to Solowings for me!

Thanks

Just had my Aquilla 1 wing serviced and tuned two weeks ago at SoloWings, EXCELLENT service and workmanship. Would recommend them any time! Convienient overnight freight arranged at very reasonable price from TimeFreight.

did you have to send the entire wing along with all tubes and frames to solo or just the material part of the wing? Must be a porcess to dismantle it all?

is there a specific time when a wing needs to be serviced or not?

Its a lot easier to fold the entire wing than to remove pipes. Takes about 45 minutes to have it all folded up and packed and ready to send.
The sail tends to stretch after a while resulting in some flutter on the trailing edge. Quick nip and tuck and its as good as new again.
