Stainless steel leading edge?

Postby Bacchus » Sun Nov 26, 2006 9:49 pm

I fly with a warp drive 3 blade on 582 Rotax.
Is there anybody who knows if there is somebody in Cape Town who can fit stainless steel edges (for stone protection) on this prop and balance it afterwards?
Secondly is there any side effects by doing this?

If there is nobody in Cape Town, who can I contact regarding this?

P Props contacts

I flew with one for 500 hrs and likewise it works well, however I did trash one tip up on the Botswana border, stayed on with super glue (and fence wire) remarkable it stayed balanced !! and then fell off with Dave Jackson on the wild coast which caused a small crisis. He took the matching two off to "re balance" and carried on. Good idea to check them as part of a pre flight. The small rivets do come out after stone impact.

I have a NC prop with "soft" leading edges which works well but at 200 hrs now needs attention. The beach chows the back more than the stainless tips.

Can you possibly advise P Props details as I am going to get mine fixed also ?

Bacchus,

The Wintervogel Blues?

When you find someone to do it, or if you decide to send your prop up north, may I add mine in your order?

Gert
