Airmagic Comms System

Postby Barryathome » Sat Sep 02, 2006 11:19 am

I note that a query and string regarding Paul Lintott's comms systems were active in June - this subject responds to that.

I recently replaced the intercom set on my Raptor with the Airmagic system supplied by Paul. The difference in performance to the previous one - a Buzzcom - is amazing. It provides clear noise-free comms, no wind noise in transmission and clear reception. The service has been great too, response to queries were immediate and deliveries by courier were preceded by a sms with tracking number and approx delivery times, and the price was reasonable too.

Reliability of the system will be proved/disproved over time, but functionally it is money well spent.

I have also ordered myself a set from Paul.

So far i am very happy with the response etc i got from paul and i am just awaiting delivery. I will be useing the system in my trike as well as my VP. Paul also supplied a kit for me to build into an old airforce helmut. Looking forward to getting that all working.

I used the kit supplied by Paul to integrate his headsets into my helmet - which resulted in a comfortable and user-friendly combination.
Again money well spent

8) i have said before, i have one of the first systems paul made. It is a development system and i must say it is the best system i have flown with. I have been promised a new system but because myne is the best system i have flown with it is difficult for me to change  Oh i also use a bib that paul makes for the helmet visor. it is the first time i can fly with my helmet and not need goggles to stop my eyes from watering. well done paul this is another greate invension of yours. 8)

HI I have also put the bib on my Helmut and still waiting to test it all out, What i have done though is i have pasted my checks into the inside of the bib, this makes all the checks are at eye level when the visor is up and then once it is down it is hidden from view.

Also the airmagic comms fits perfect in the buzzcom helmut, so smiling all the way

Very Clever idea, If i can get the standard checks used (everybody has different ideas on this) I can include a nice label for each unit... I use:

Too Many Crazy Pilots Go Fly In Heaven Early.. but I would need a different one for Gyros and Trikes...Some help please and I will organise (Ron @ La Mercy prints them). If i get some common feedback this will help.

They retro fit any helmet and I include a "Visor lock" in White or Black. The white may be painted to suit any custom colour.

Hi all back home,
Paul sent me a few samples of the bibs which we have now fitted with great results and terrific feedback.
It took me one day to get used to being in a "fish bowl".
I now cannot fly without one
In Oz we have to fly with helmets which is something I always did back home, but the bib or beard as it is known in Oz is really "magic" and makes conditions so much better :D
I know supply bibs and manufacture the Air Magic Intercom under licence in Oz
(sorry about the punt!)
Cheers,
