... one of my Fav manouvers in the Gemini - a Med to tight turn & a gentle pull in on the the bar will get her sliding sideways quite nicely ... BUT if overzelous she drops like a brick sh%thouse and very quickly hits VNE.... coming out of it then induces a roll over in the opposite direction - and thats NOT a nice feeling
... please heed Dave's advice and be very wary 8)

Funnily enough one of original training windlasses we used was happy to fly around the sky sideways all day... hhhmmmm, nawwww musta been cause the cart and the wing usually pointed in opposite directions when it stood on the ground.. :P

Sounds like there's some good information the forum could use. Any chance of getting an electroic copy of the whole thing?

Bearing in mind different instructors, preferences, standards etc, it would be good to see what other have put done on paper (or is that on file?)

I have started a little project. My own blog. But it is also a website and we can preserve articles of interest. It is a blog and thus news and things of importance can be linked, saved and categorized. The site is nearly no-where near finish but if you give me a few months and are willing to help author etc we can form a repository that will add a lot of value to these forums. Forums are for discussion and things get lost, we need a site where we can colate all the info. We can have a central event calendar etc that is not supported by forums.

Go have a look at http://www.have2fly.co.za - in no way is it intended to take away from these forums. More a blog and a collection of easily accessible info.
