Sharing my battery tests

Postby ZULU1 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 6:49 pm

No axe to grind at all; but I have done some extensive testing on battery life and would like to share my results using our intercoms as a reference.

It appears that a product little known and branded HW or "Hi Watt" is about 10-15% better than other runners, including "the other silver/black ones" and the "bunny brand". They are also half the price. Only tested on AAAs.

We get about 70-75 hrs on our intercoms with them..

Obviously "terms and conditions apply" but next time out shopping dont just buy on price..

Reason for tests...we send security equipment into Africa and need to know..

Only one problem our supplier has none left as apparently the KZN playhouse has also learnt this as they use them in their wireless microphones. They apparently bought the lot !! so I maybe wasted my time investigating.
