I have about 35 hrs with a UL260i and so far a great engine. Local agent is Bundu Aviation
at Zynkraal who gives excellent service. Will have to wait and see as hours build up, but
so far, so good. Basically like a small Lycoming with electronic ignition and fuel injection.
Thus no choke, carb heat or hassle. ECU like a modern automobile. TBO 1500hrs.

Not sure of exact price, but the 260i 97hp is around 15000 euro which is about R195,000.

I have the ul260i on a Bushbaby Explorer

Flooi, sit paar fodies op, en vertel meer van jou ondervinding met die enjin. Is hy moeilik om in te sit, is daar baie goeters en drade, en hoe perform hy? Ek is baie nuuskierig.

Stefan Coetzee van Kitplanes for Africa het hom gebou. Skakel hom vir tegniese inligting.
Baie eenvoudige enjin en hy het sover in die VSA asook in Europa uitstekende rekord.

Teen 2900rpm cruise omtrent 102mph tas. 15lph 95 mogas
met die tricycle Explorer wat baie drag het. P prop, 62x38

Met Rotax 912 reeks wat so duur geword het en baie vrae
rondom Jabi enjins (kyk op hul thread) is hierdie moontlik
die volgende opsie. TBO is 1500 ure
