I have a rotax 582 engine that I'm fitting to another plane but the exhaust does not fit. So I've checked a 532 exhaust that will fit.
A. measures the same size and diameter and legths. I dont know the internals??
B.If I use it will there be any known issues?...performance.....reliability?....
I Checked a 503 and I find the same as A above.
And B above ????
Anyone have knowledge on this... please help.
thanks
Andrew
exhausts help needed.
Re: exhausts help needed.
I am no fundi on exhausts, but I know for sure that an exhausts design is critical on a 2 stroke. If you cannot get sound advice on this forum, I suggest that you contact a bike shop that manufactures exhausts, I expect that they will be able to help.
Re: exhausts help needed.
My 503 exhaust was transplanted to the new 582 by the previous owner.

I have a Rotax 582...at once stage we modified the exhaust (shortened) by 15 mm to make it fit...we had endless power issues...misfire, power loss, couldn't get full revs,.... be very careful modifying a 2 stroke exhaust as they are "tuned" at the factory and as far as I know they work on a specific "back pressure" sound wave.
Speak to Boet Laubscher from Loeriesfontein... ..he is a boffin on this matter...he is on this forum.
hope this helps.
