Can anyone explain this to me?

I recently bought a Microlight with 600 hrs on the clock. The previous owner is an instructor. I installed the wing exactly the same as we disassembled it when i transported it. I even took photos so I could not make a mistake. I am starting my microlight training. Now my Instructor said that the cables running from the delta bar to the nose and the back is the wrong way around. I did not even took them of to fold up the wing. Can anybody explain to me how the previous owner could have flown the Microlight. Can any body give me info on the lengths on those cables ? It is an Aquilla 11 (2) wing.
