Hi Guy's.
Is there a certain type or grade of allu. that whe MUST use on our aircraft.

No. The grade of aluminium is determined by the designer. Some aircraft are designed to use 6063-T5 (the common hardware store grade). While most are designed around 2024-T3/4 or 6061-T6.

Certified aircraft required certified materials (batch tested, with test certificate). You won't easily find anything but 2024, 6061 or 6082 with a certificate.
