Possible mag issues?

Postby Loco » Mon Apr 08, 2013 5:34 am

Hi guys

Recently installed a 2'nd hand DX1 on my trike

Before doing so I took it to Serge at Amptronics to get it serviced and re-calibrated

Now I have 2 issues:

1. When doing mag checks, the left mag works 100% (only drops about 100rpm) but when I check the right mag the DX1 completely loses power even though the mag drop 'sounds' the same as the left

2. The RPM under-reads, max RPM displayed on the DX1 is 4500 at full taps (checked with a hand-held tach full RPM is about 6500)

Any ideas what needs to be done please?

Thanks
Anthony Hugo

Maybe give Serge a call at Amptronic again and rev him up a little.
They design and build them, so they should know.

Hi, I phoned Serge and he told me that in very rare circumstances you have to swap the 2 wires on the DX1 eish, will give it a try on the weekend...

I'm just worried about the fact that when I test the right mag it doesn't produce enough power to run the DX1...
