How to weld EGT ports on 582 exhaust?

Postby Loco » Sat Mar 23, 2013 2:30 pm

Hi guys

I got some EGT probes but my 582's exhaust manifold doesn't have ports, what's the best method to weld some nuts on it please?

Thanks! (^^)

Maybe you could fit the type of probe held in place by a steel hose type clamp....all that is then needed is a simple hole....cheaper probes well.

Nick.

Hehehe, Ant, you really want to pimp your trike I see! 8)
I think fitting EGT probes onto your trike is just adding needless weight onto it. Ons trikes is alreeds te stadig ou maat
Why not invest in a Go Pro or Drift HD camera to mount on the wing, then at least you have something useful to look at during or after a flight

Hi guys

Should the EGT ports be on top or bottom of the exhaust manifold (does it matter)?

My 582's exhaust manifold is mounted so that the ports face downwards eish

In this pic they face upwards...

And in this one they face downwards (unless they mount the engine upside-down!?)
