‘Lessons Learned’ Log

Postby John.com » Sun Jan 27, 2013 9:46 pm

I read this Flying Mag article http://www.flyingmag.com/technique/tip- ... earned-log and felt that it aligned very well with the Aeroclub's Safety First Campaign!

I decided to start a 'Lessons Learned' Log for myself by documenting my flight from Aeroden to Rhino on Saturday and came up with SIX LESSONS, with corrective actions!

So yes, it takes a little time but I found it a very worthwhile exercise!

I found that it is not just about packing away the aircraft and heading home after a flight. I found myself writing some short notes after the flight and then later, when I had time, documenting my lessons learnt, along with corrective actions (see item 1 of 6 below).

If you are interested in keeping a Lessons Learned Log I have included a template which seems to work!

Let's be proactive in keeping our skies safe! (-)
