Bantam B22J Propeller

Postby Hub-Bar » Sun Oct 14, 2012 9:00 am

We have a Bantam B22J with the 2.2l 4cyl Jabiru 85 hp (hydraulic lifter) motor and a Jabiru 60x38 wooden prop. At the rear of the hub there is a small crack originating from one of the bolt insert holes. I am not sure, but it might be that the crack has become longer over time. I have taken the prop off to inspect. See the pics. What do you prop experienced guys make of it ? If not OK, is it Repairable ? If in the case that I have to replace the prop, what works best for the Bantam 4 cyl? I have heard talk of the P-Prop doing very well and I have also been advised to use a Brent Thomson 64x30. The Jabiru prop in my opinion is not great shakes. The knowledge of practical experience is out there, so guys, please advise. I would also like to know if somebody has a suitable prop available.
