GRS service is every 6 years, lifetime expectancy 30 years. As with the repack cycle which was extended from 5 to 6 years, this may also be extended on experience. At every repack the fabric, seams and stitching of the parachute is minutely examined and at every second service all the riser ropes are replaced. The rocket is also refueled. Your GRS will likely outlive you, but might extend your life if you ever get in trouble while aloft....

A batch of GRS ballistic chutes has just landed and surplus to orders I have the following available:
1 x 2012 GRS 3/450 OUT 190km/h suitable for exposed mounting. R29300 VAT included.
2 x 2011 GRS 3/450 SOFT 190km/h suitable for inside mounting in Quick type trikes, Bantam or such. R27000 each VAT included.

Hi Aerosan, thankful that you are still with us...
200ft is ample for deployment of GRS, their specs say 60m for the 5 and 6 series but they have reports of saves much lower.
Also about ballistic chutes specifically for GRS owners:
I am getting a batch of GRS together for repacking. Whether I send one or two back to the factory, airfreight cost is much the same.
But the more I can import back together, the lower the share of each of the expensive importation costs. Dangerous goods declarations, Police permits, freight only aircraft, storage at Guardforce (5 hours to extricate...)
