We had a Woodcomp on our Safari with a Jabi 3300 and the performance was so so. Always had issues with temps. Fitted a P prop and pffooof, magic. The problems went away in an instant. Service from them is also sketchy to say the least. Have been waiting 4 weeks now and lots of e-mails and I still do not have a quote for 912 blades.

For Rotax motors they are Ok but I will not recommend them on the Jabi 3300. I could be wrong. Maybe it will work Ok in the faster airframe. Who knows?

Is it this one?? I notice it has a Jabbie propellor too? That right? You need the RIGHT propellor for this intallation. Please phone Pieter De Necker at 27 11 7935235. He is our resident propellor guru, and famous propellor maker of note. Have him make u a proper prop for your BB. You will never be sorry!!

You must be carefull of fitting ANY other prop than a 2-blader wood on your Yabbie engine. The Yabiru factory frowns apon other "exotic" makes, especially 3 bladers, as no testing was done with it, and you can easily become the guinea -pig that will maybe find some serious resonance incompatibility problems!! BE AWARE!!!!!!! One of my friends had a 3 blade in flight adjustable prop on his Jab, and the HUB cracked. He fitted a De Necker prop, and it out-performs the 3-blade monstrosity hands down anyway!! Now i understand. The prop you need id a p prop 62x32. We fit it to all the BB with a 2200 jabi motor. You also need to look at the cowl. The frontal area needs to be as small as possible to make the prop eficient enough. A VP is a waste of time and money. A P prop will outperform them all on that combination. No need for school fees, we paid it already.

Stefan

Stefan is right on the numbers :!: I paid the school fees as well. 3 blade in flight ajustable VP, 300 fpm, De Necker prop 520 fpm and it was the wrong prop  I didnt get full rpm. got the right prop from Piet and I was flying a homesick angel :) (-)

Never again in my life will I stray from Pieter De Necker, I just hope he never dies.............. well before me that is

I also had a 3 blade in-flight adjust prop on my Revmaster inatallation , in a Bushbaby. Climb was not impressive, speed was sort of ok. Fitted a De Necker 2 blade wood prop....... :o :o ....a completely different aeroplane!!! Climb much better ,speed much better. I also paid the school fees, so trust the likes of Stefan , Boet , Aerosan......and me.

Hi boys
I will beleeve you , its nice thad you paid my schoolfees allrady.
For the cowling on the BB i have now a new idea.
I like to macke a cowling like for the Radial engine and use the
original jabiru ducts on the engine ,for optimal cooling.
look at: http://www.jabiru.flyer.co.uk on the report and foto from collins kitfox
Wat do you think about it ? cooling will be like on a Bantam
