Accepted !

tks, got hold of Fanie - springs still in stock

p.s. He did caution me that I might have an underlying issue causing the springs to break ( harmonics / prop balancing etc )
Cheers !

I had some Stainless Steel springs made up by Hesper Springs in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town.
I took them a sample and asked them to use thicker wire, and to aim at slightly more spring tension.
Collected them next day and flew many happy years with them, on a system where the manufacturer's original spring seldom lasted more than a few hours.

Since then, every time I get a new engine, I have done the same.
In fact, I order a few more and hand them out to my flying buddies.
Its costs mere pennies per spring.
I don't know how they make money doing such small jobs at such ridiculously low prices.

I have the same problem .Authorized dealer spring (only one specific one) always breaks. Got another spring from another dealer and 25hour later still ok
