What maintenance / work are you allowed to DIY?

Postby Loco » Sun Mar 25, 2012 7:46 pm

Hi guys

We need to do some work on the trike I just bought

Would just like to know what maintenance / work are you allowed to DIY?

E.g. are you allowed to replace carb rubbers yourself or must AP do it?

Thanks
Ant

See the sticky at the top of the Tech Talk section.

Best of my knowledge - nothing new has transpired - and you can only do your own maintenance under supervision of an AP or if you were the builder of the aircraft. Otherwise no maintenance can be done yourself.

The AP MUST sign off any work/maintenance you perform is the short answer... (^^)

We are lucky to have two of them at ML.... always someone around who knows what they are doing  puff
