The remote does not work well if the camera is mounted on the wing tip with the engine running though. I have talk to at least 2 other people who have the same problem. The remote works fine on with the engine off but is very erratic while flying. There must be some interference between the engine and the remote.
GoPro or GoPro 2? I read the 2 is a vast improvement.

So I got a Drift HD 170 from Marius at the Tedderfield meet

Attached it to the top of my helmet using the supplied double-sided tape

This morning recorded a flight for the first time and WOW the quality of the footage is amazing!!! (^^)

Just for interest sake. I see Cape Union Mart are now full agents for GoPro. I have been to the one in Woodlands, Pretoria and they have a big range of GoPro products in stock and very helpfull staff.

I have the Drift HD170 stealth from Marius and mounted it on the suspension control arm, first results of flying round the windsock are awesome, but found that a firmware upgrade available http://driftinnovation.com/drift-firmwa ... e-upgrade/ improves the zoom somewhat. I intend mounting a servo motor to tilt the unit in flight....

Part of my battlefields photo project..

At present very satisfied as the screen for setting up is very effective..
