They can answer that question better.Cloud Warrior wrote:But then why does Solowings mount the pump vertically as standard?
Thanks Andy, Would like to know Craigs opinion.AndyG wrote:I will get the gen from Craig Couzens at Solo Wings.
I have a windlass wind the engine mounted with spark pointing down and the fuel pump is installed the correct way. So maybe the answer lies with the fact that solowings is installing the engine on the aquillas the wrong way round, and then they are just continuing with the wrong installation on the fuel pump.Duck Rogers wrote:They can answer that question better.Cloud Warrior wrote:But then why does Solowings mount the pump vertically as standard?
As far as I'm concerned, they're WRONG.
There's a lot of documentation on the web regarding this, from a number of knowledgeable individuals, and they all advise against mounting it vertically. If I'm not mistaken, Rotax also recommends horizontally.
