Trike Tyres

Postby Alpha » Tue Mar 23, 2010 2:14 pm

Hi All,

Once again bowing down before the knowledge of the microlighters crew asking ever so humbly..... Where is the best place to get new tyres for my trike and what pressure is ideal to pump the tyres for a tar runway? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fly Safe :P :P

Only goosesteps if the one back tyre violently lands before the other :)

OK at risk of letting all of the secrets out of the bag, this will sort you out....

www.speddick.co.za

If you fail we will be able to supply from our pilot shop which we moved today, and exhaust springs and carb rubbers and plugs and oil filters and batteries and flying suits and so on...take a while to settle in but will be stocking generic ratex spares imported direct.

You can also try Dominators spares - 011 817 1308 / 082 646 0924.
They do 16 x 6.5 x 8 tyres & tubes and post it to you.

Hey Zulu 1,

What is the price for exhaust springs, up here on the reef the guys want insane amounts for them?. Pm if you want.

Also looked at your strobe last weekend, looks great & works well. BUT how would i fit it to my kingpost, as the Raptors have a "wing shaped" profile. Are there diff types of fitting brackets? ( your fitting bracket is round )

Thanks (!!)

Wiskey Foxtrot, we are selling exhaust springs in bags of 4 for R100,00 they are stainless steel, identical in size and shape. Except the gap that allows them to slip over the exhaust "wire" is slightly tighter. They are also more maleable as they are stainless. Made by the "OEM" of a large car manufacturer in Durban. We will be stocking filters carb rubbers very soon and other consumables....

The strobe has another bracket for the tail mount, aerofoil king post and tow trucks...

We have added a rf bead in the latest units preventing radio interference and they are now "orange" housings.
Not unlike the orange on the aerial of days gone by....

Our pilot shop will take a while to get up to speed. We are on a mission to reduce consmable costs.

Cheers Paul
