How many amps can you expect a 503 lighting coil to produce at 5000 rpm ?

170W AC at 6000rpm, works out to be a max of about 12 amps regulated t0 13.8 V. The regulator output is protected by a 16amp fuse

The ignition circuit is separate from the lighting circuit. It only uses 4 coils and the lighting circuit 8. However they specify that the ignition system is a
breakerless 12V 170W DUCATI capaciter discharge dual ignition system

Again 170W/12V = 14A max. Whether they actually drive the circuit to that current I don't know
