Leading Edge Flight School is situated in Hoedspruit at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province just 40km from the Kruger National Park. Full time and part-time instruction for PPL (aircraft), and NPL (3-axis conventionally controlled microlight, light sport aeroplane and weight-shift microlight) is available. The school operates two Bantams, a Cessna 172, and an Aquilla trike for instruction purposes. The school runs courses on an individual basis allowing the student to progress at his best rate possible. The school has been in operation since 1995. All aspects of the licence such as radio licences are done in Hoedspruit. The school operates within a radio controlled area run by the airforce and gives the student the benefit of learning aircraft radio procedures in manned and unmanned airspace. The weather allows flying all year round. When students aren’t flying, or doing ground study, they have numerous options in the area to keep themselves busy.
