Many of the sections are now being manned by people that have been affiliated with aviation for ages and are active pilots. Had an interesting conversation with one said inspector last week and did not once get the impression that they were out to "get" us... on the contrary I got the feeling that they were trying to be pro active and were willing to gladly assist.
Positive and pro active change comes from two sides though! If we also change our attitude and flood the inspectors with positive vibes then I can't see them being vindictive. What would rather happen is that persistent transgressors such as the oke flying his trike out Port Alfred way will feel spike of the regulations in force!
