New LSA comming to SA

Postby avsa » Fri Feb 13, 2009 6:58 am

Hi everybody,

I have been searching for a more afordable way to keep flying in these current difficult times and have been looking at various options. After spending hours on the net I came across the Terrier which looks like a C172. I started negotiating with the company and gathered as much information on Terrier as possible.
I am now at the stage where I have signed the dealership for SA. I'll be at the factory in March to finalize the importation of the demo aircraft and also the pricing thereof.
The Terrier will be availible in kit and fully built up version. The assembly will be done at an AMO at Wonderboom.

If somebody wants to see what it looks like,go to www.foxcon.com

My details are on the site. I'm hoping to have a website up and running soon.

Cheers

The very first thing everyone is going to ask is - Price?
Nuts about Cheetahs. Petit is the place.

Are you going to be bringing in their Subaru engine too? And of course, price?

Hi Guys,

I'm currently waiting for the container, packing and transport costs. I should be able to give you a price by early next week. As far as engine options are concerned, it will be the option of the client, but the demo aircraft will have the Subaru option. Other options will include Rotax,Jabiru and lycoming.

I'll keep you posted asap

Before you pay any money, make sure you talk to CAA about Non-Type Acceptance. You will probably have to include the cost of a CAA engineer going on a holiday to the factory before you will even be able to register the aircraft.

Hi everybody,

I've been reading all the posts and appreciate the input. The plan is to meet with CAA prior to visiting the factory. On that point, can anybody advise me on who to see at CAA. I'll get all the paperwork in place prior to start selling the aircraft.

Thank you all for the positive response so far.

Cheers
