Artagra, if you're up for a flip while you're here I can organise it. I'll pm you my contact details

Dont worry about the feeling, if you were meant to fly you would have been born with a set of wings. You will get used to it, however, then you will be addicted. Enjoy this phase of your training and good luck. Just pray that the weather and Mrs. Nature treats you right -0<

It's been 7 weeks since my last lesson...I didn't forget how to fly but it all felt SO foreign, my chair, my hands, I couldn't do ANYTHING right, the stupid Airspeed shows 45mph then 60 then 48, I relied too much on the instruments. Has anyone ever been too stiff or just not loose?

I had a hole (+-2mm) in my wing that I did'nt pick up during preflight - note to self always park where the sun is bright...

It is VERY humiliating and frustrating when NOTHING goes right ESP so early in my MPL! After the first 20 mins, I already wanted to land and call it day, after my bloody landings and not to mention BIRDS!!!! Even time I came for an approach the stupid guinea fowls would run, stand or fly directly in front of me, only parting metres away. Eventually I wanted to hit em!

Needless to say I've got to redo my lesson , can't we download all the info on a CD or swallow a MPL pill?

It all felt so easy and almost natural previously, but now I REALLY had to try and whats worse is the wx was great for most the part.

In the end I was so gatvol with my flying I just wanted to be a PAX. Wednesday I'm going again, so hopefully I can lose my brain and do it better! [0*.

  You'll find that you have good days and bad days flying. However a bad day flying beats a good day at the office! :D Better flying next time.
A break of seven weeks doesn't help either. I haven't flown for a number of months due to medical reasons so I'd hate to see what my landings will be like.
Good luck

Thanks C205! I'm beginning to understand what people actually mean with bad days and good - it's a humbling factor!

Hang in there DF. It will get better. I was there a few lessons ago. It feels like you know nothing and you can take nothing in. :x :x :x
But then the next time you realise that you actualy did learn quite a bit.

You saw the smile on my face when I landed. Every thing just went right. I had the most amasing flight. It all just felt so natural and I felt in controll for the first time. Wx was great. :D :D :D :D :D

What I'm trying to get at is relax and don't worry about Wednesday.
It will sort itself out and you'll see that no lesson is ever a waste of time.

Good luck
See you there

I have at long last experienced NO WIND at all! Wow the wing was so light! Plus I did my first physically unaided landing.

Got to watch that flair.

Shady's back!

Has anyone noticed how the engine sounds louder then softer, yet your foot hasn't budged? Is that due to the wind "bringing" the sound closer etc or wax build up in my ears?
