The Delta Jet AS-III is a Special Light Sport Aircraft (S-LSA) weight-shift-control (WSC) Trike.
The Delta Jet complies with ASTM standards and has been certified under FAA's Sport Pilot rule.
The Delta Jet offers incredible performance with cruising speeds up to 80 MPH and top speeds
reaching 100 MPH at full gross weight. Options such as color glass cockpit (Enigma), panel mounted radio,
panel mounted intercom, mode C transponder and lights suitable for night flight make properly equipped
versions of this trike suitable for a WSC private pilot looking to fly not only during the day, but, also at night.

Delta Jet's sleek lines not only look fast, it is fast. One of the fastest trikes in the trike industry.
Its lite, sporty and balanced handling regardless of weight makes it a thrill to fly. One foot off the
ground you will say "I Like It!" The response and feedback of this trike makes it simple to fly.
The Delta Jet has very stable ground handling with it's solid, but, comfortable suspension.
The sporty performance is unmatched by any other trike. Feel little to no wind on your head with the
standard tall windscreen. The Delta Jet will make you feel like you are on a sport touring motorcycle
rather than a trike. After flying the Delta Jet Trike you will never want fly a fixed wing airplane again.

Three hydraulic disc brakes give immense stopping capability on hard surface runways. The custom designed
two into one stainless steel exhausts on the Rotax 912 provide a throaty roar and can expand and contract
in all directions relieving all stress points that can cause cracks. The choice of wings between H12, Profi
and Manta Ray finish the package offering different characteristics for different flying styles. Best part
is that you can have this trike certified with one wing and later decide to buy another of the three certified
wings and change them out without any hassles with a simple change of weight and loading

Leon, that is a brilliant pic of the take-off. It takes a lot to take such a clear pic of a moving object, so close at that angle, especially in low light conditions - read long shutter speed.

All I can say is ^*^^

Dunno much about trikes, but that looks like a pretty fine piece of machinery - !!!! - and it makes nice pix.

Have you got any idea on performance figures yet?
Climb rate, cruise speed, stall speed, weight, MTOW, etc?

Kalahari, you're going to pay +- R 250 000.00. Tracer, all that I can say is that I cruise @ 75 miles/h(115 km/h) at 5 200 rpm.(calm to no wind conditions). Will post all the other data later.

Cheers Skin

Congrats Skin, this is really a beaut, just 1 thing that I wonder about is, how difficult is it to get the pax in and out of the rear seat, does he have to step on the rear seat everytime to get in?
