Have to renew my ATF , must include new radio license / proof of payment.
After 6 phone calls to ICASA , still don't know how much to pay
Never got an invoice in the post , our ever efficient SA Post Office never delivered my December post.
The postman was on leave , seems they just threw it away ?

Sent a complaint to ICASA using thier complaints link on thier web site ... got this response

Dear All

Please be informed that we will be on leave from the 24th Dec 2008 to the 4th January 2009. We will be back in the office on the 5th January.

If you have a radio license it R48. If it a new one then ... (will check have it on email as well as bacnk account) else you can pay at Post office...

Last I have is PTA Nedbank Corp. Br Code 146245 Account 1462002927 and use Reg as ref. Assume it still same?

Best bet to call the regional offices. Jhb is K@K. I usually get great assistance from the doll in Bfn. Think her name was Dalene?

IIRC it was something like R480 for first reg or change of ownership details and then R48 per year thereafter.

CAA can not force you to have radio stat license. Reg's do not require a plane to have a radio for valid ATF... I have never presented the radio stat license just in principal even though I have one.

I would pay the R48 with your reg as ref and worry about the rest later. Carry the receipt in your aerie as proof until you get the license. I am still waiting for the 182's for last year. I overpaid the RV's by mistake in the 1st year so now they send me a new one every year and I pay the R48 in advance to keep account in credit of R48. Works well.

I think the idea of bieng in credit is great .... just as long as my postman does'nt go AWOL again along with my post ...
