I'm Afraid I do not see the issue, in this case it is a professional doing a show where the spectators are on top of a hill - he has plenty height to throw his reserve should he fluff a planned & practiced move. No different from any airshow move. I will admit you see some dumb things on paragliders - this is not a bad one.

BTW Microlite related - have you guys seen this one in SA @ Aviators Paradise. Note this is worst case scenario the wing has spun instead of unstalling cleanly with lines twisted & the wing cravatted which he has to fix first.

Hi thermalator

Mabe it is because i do not fly Parragliders and do not know what the stats are. to me this look plain dangerous. What happens if his momentum is not enough to carry him over and he falls into the wing :?: Like a trike doing a whipstall.
If he is good at it then good luck to him. It just makes me cringe at the sight. ($$) ($$) ($$)

Eish and the other Clip. Again i go cold watching this. Maybe i have seen too many oopsies with people going to these extreams (**)

I don't do Aero's myself, although I need to scare myself for training soon under controlled conditions over water.

As long as you guys are aware there is no stereotypical paraglider pilot & Aerobatics is but one of 8 Disciplines (Mine is X-country racing) of which coastal dune gale hanging is probably the most accessible.
