Info on Aero57

Postby AV8 » Fri Jan 23, 2009 2:27 pm

Hi Guys
I was just wondering, if it is at all possible to fly inot aero57 for a cup of coffe in the mornrings or is this field strictly for training only?
If it is possible, what are the details, frequency, joining and landing rules, co-ords etc...
Thanks.

Hi,

You can land there for a cup of coffee, no problem. Let me know when you planning on flying out, I can meet up with you in the area and "escort" you in!

Field elevation: 5100ft
Radio: 125.25
Co-Ords: S25 54 11.40 E028 04 55.20
Runways:18/36, 600x18 m, grass uphill rwy 18
12/30, 350x18m, grass, houses adjacent E of rwy (use of runway to be limited, due to no fly zone)

No fly zone to the east of airfield.
Join overhead at 6000ft, call 3 - 5 nm out. To determine active runway. (right hand circuit for 17, left hand circuit for 36).

Hope that helps!

Hey Stephen

If we weren't flying to Benics tomorrow I would gladly fly with you to Aero 57. Maybe we should arrange a flight there sometime. Unless you mean't next Saturday 31st Jan. If so I will gladly fly with you. Let me know.
