***Mighty Men's Conference 2009***

Postby Eagle » Sat Jan 10, 2009 3:08 pm

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a Good Samiritan to fly us down from the Vaal Triangle to Greytown to attend the Mighty Men's Conference 2009.
The departure time would be Friday 24 April 2009 about 14h00 and we want to fly back to the Vaal Triangle on Sunday 26 April 2009
more or less the same time. A Cessna Caravan or bigger would be suitable. We are about 15 to 20 men going to the conference. We
are willing to share the costs. I also have a Comair Captain to fly the aircraft if a pilot would be a problem. Whoever are willing to
help us would also have a awesome time ! Imagine 200 000 men toghether in unity ! It is going to be mind blowing stuff !

Check it out @ www.mmc09.co.za

If you can help herewith all my contact details:

Thank You Very Much

I'm keen to attend this year and fly in from the Eastern Cape. There has been discussion on Avcom that the airfield will be closed over that week-end, but some folks are working on getting it opened for aviators to fly in... see: http://www.avcom.co.za/phpBB3/viewtopic ... &sk=t&sd=a

It would be great to have many aircraft flying in for the event...... vhpy

I am not really one for long distance, but if a group of trikes fly down for this - I will be very keen - I know traffic was an issue last year, if we fly down - Traffic won't be a problem vhpy Perhaps we should try and get the ball rolling
Who is in to fly down? Where can we land?

I would be in if we can get a group to go. Where would we stay? Camping at the airfield maybe? How should we go about organizing such an event? People from all over maybe fly and meet at Escourt Ultra City and then over to Greytown?

I am in. Now lets organize! vhpy

I just checked out the website and would like to register. There is camping facilities available. I will be flying from Ingwe Airfield (Centurion) on Friday 24th April and plan to return Sunday 26th April. Maybe I can meet up with guys from Microland or Petit and we all fly from there. Come on everybody. Let me know and register. It would be amazing having lots of trike fly there and as we are all in "dangerous sport" according to my insurance company, it would help to be on the right path (-)

Now we need to check the airport or find alternative landing areas. We are flying trikes so landing should not be a problem vhpy

Who is in so that I can finalize my booking. I would not like to go by myself.

MMC 08 - mind blowing!!!!!!!!
MMC 09 - would be even better.

Going this year by 4track.Would like to join but got a few friends comming together with me . Had a look last year on flying in this year with my "grassnyer".
Piet your only option for landing would be the Airfield, reasoning lots of pinetrees and planted farm land. Airfield is a distance from MMC ,know last year they had a "kombie" conveing people from field to farm .Weather little bit unpredictable but nothing serious.
Hope you guys can organise something.

Enjoy.

Well, so far it is me and ZS-NEL. Let us hope they can open the airport for us on that weekend. I will make my reservation in the mean time. If I cannot fly so be it. Money will go for a good cause at least. Here is holding thumbs for opening the airport or if anybody knows of a farmer in the area with an area good enough for landing, let us know

Well, three guys so far. I have just made my reservations online and booked for camping also. Closer to the time we must discuss where we can meet and fly in a group. Will follow up with Avcom guys also about the opening of the airport.
