Morning Star Earthquake? ;-)

Bluesmancoops highlighted this one for me. It appears that Morning Star has suffered a cataclysmic earthquake, shifting the runway and the N7 laterally by 45 meters.

Witnesses on the ground claimed to have seen and felt nothing which might have something to do with the pub being open at this stage. Further investigations suggests the satellite camera operator at Google earth appears to have found his boss's stash of Johnny Walker.

Investigations are still outstanding, but if you are driving up the N7 and suddenly experience port Jackson bushes, you now know why

Naaaahhh - it's the wind in the Cape. You dunno if you have to line up the runway or the highway on finals. (**)

Don't worry, it's just an ingenious plan of the provincial traffic department ( Die bose geeste langs die pad  ) to get the aeries also on the weighbridge and check for overloading :?: . And beware if you're reverse light only works when you reverse. You might just get a hefty fine  .

It is the municipality getting the rest of the countryside in shape with the "our highways must end in the middle of nowhere" policy!
