soaring trikes

Postby attaltitude » Wed Dec 24, 2008 9:56 am

I have been having a look around on the net and found some interesting '' soaring trikes '' basically lightweight trikes with good preformance hanglider wings.
is there anyone in sa who owns one of these (Im not refering to a old windlass with a single igtion) and would some of our local manufacturers be interested in building these as the dollar and pound based prices are equel to our local new 582 trikes.

any input :?:

Oh, and you can also try Pete in the Wilderness area. He had (what is called) a Mosquito Harness. Conventional hang glider and harness with small engine in harness, and wheels on thecontrol bar. I also believe that Aiden is making hang glider wings for Spike now. vhpy

Hi folk.

Johan Anderson, down in George is also busy with a project. I have seen the prototype undercarriage. Neat, very neat, and folds up in about 2 minutes into a small, neat bundle that fits easily into the boot or even back seat of your car.

And Aidan, at Solo Wings, has also built one. If I remember correctly, he was about to test fly it last month.

Let's see where this all goes, as that is EXACTLY where trikes started many years ago. It was industry, and the pilots, who drove the design for faster and bigger and faster and bigger and faster etc., trikes.... So now we got what we wanted, together with all the laws that come with things that are 'faster and bigger', and now we want to go back to the beginning again.......aish!

regards.
