Microlighters

So I drive out to the airfield, after work this afternoon, so I can buzz around the patch and maybe head out to Harties...

I remove the hangar cover from my trike and check the QNH....... 1011 , obviously I replace the cover and drive home.

With the temperature this afternoon and the QNH that low, it equated to a Density altitude of 8300ft approx, definitely not fly-able (or safely so) with my little old 503.

aaawww well, let's see what it looks like tomorrow morning...

And that had brought a 'moer' of a storm that just passed over my house in kempton park. Eish!!!

It was the weirdest, wildest lightning show I have ever seen

Same here in Mpumalanga - heres a QNH at 10 this morning so it looks like today there will be more sport.

Flying from Paradise beach to Port Alfred in the Eastern Cape Monday morning, had QNH 1004.
